Libraries—Houses of Wisdom
Along with science, education, and vocational training, books are held in high regard by our people. Therefore, during the Renaissance of the New Era of the Sovereign State, our country's national library system is being improved. This is of great importance for educating the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism and humanism, for raising them to be perfect individuals. As our Hero Arkadag emphasizes, books contain the historical wisdom and experience of our ancestors who lived in the past, the achievements of the present, and the paths that lead to them, and they teach readers lessons in the right direction.
In our new historical period, adapting the library system to the needs of the times, introducing digital technologies into it, and providing readers with high-quality library services play an important role in raising the intellectual and cultural level of our people. In addition, the construction of observatories designed for the scientific study of celestial bodies within modern libraries further enhances their importance.
The Dovletmamat Azadi Library in Arkadag, located in a "smart" city that is unrivalled in the region, has a rich collection of books. It provides every opportunity for the education and upbringing of the younger generation.
Our esteemed President's valuable work, "Youth is the Support of the Motherland," speaks of the benefits of reading books: "Our people are a people who revere books. When a book is read and its contents become public knowledge, it becomes a spiritual treasure. The valuable knowledge read and absorbed from books is also passed on to future generations through education." Of course, education and upbringing become one, becoming an invaluable asset and spiritual treasure.
Our Dovletmamat Azadi Library in Arkadag has a children's reading room. It offers excellent conditions for reading books and has books for different age groups. Beautiful, bright illustrations of interesting fairy tales and stories written for children attract their attention and encourage them to read. We, the library staff, select books that will be interesting to the enthusiastic children who come to us and talk about the books we have read. We are pleased to see that, along with elementary school students, children from various kindergartens also come to read in our modern library.
Digital systems are being rapidly introduced into library services in all regions of the country. This allows readers to access any book and quickly find the works they need. Our Dovletmamat Azadi Library in Arkadag, which proudly bears the name of our outstanding poet, has created an electronic library system where various books and daily newspapers can be read in electronic form. Therefore, most young readers who visit our library make extensive use of electronic publications. This is especially important for young people to master innovative technologies.
This wonderful library, located in the city of Arkadag, welcomes everyone with open arms. All the conditions and opportunities created here are a vivid example of the state's concern for ensuring that our younger generation becomes knowledgeable, qualified specialists. After all, as the head of state emphasizes, young people are the powerful force of our state, the bright future of our people, striving for high goals.
